The obscure meme coin soared recently after soccer legend, Lionel Messi promoted it on Instagram. Messi shared an image displaying the tokens mascot, a cartoon glass of water perched on his shoulder with a link to the project's Instagram page in the two hours following the post, the token searched 356%. It subsequently pulled back to 0.0009 cents as of record time this morning. The project's website says water aims to have a net positive impact on the real world with the help of charity though it doesn't elaborate how one of the exchanges it's available on is bit get which may explain Messi's apparent endorsement. The soccer star has been partnered with Bit Get since October 2022. Messi's post was met with skepticism from some commenters on X. Some writing that it could be a rug pull and to be careful.
